Playing at the Mall

Mike's B'day gift from his parents was an awesome video camera. It's small enough to carry everywhere, so we are. Here's a clip from the boys playing at the mall last night.

GOAL!

Jackson is on his first soccer team and is loving it. (Although I don't know who gets more excited over practices, Mike or Jackson). In the first scrimmage game, he scored the very first goal! We were so proud. I don't think he knew what the big deal was.

I am hoping all these Saturday mornings pay off with a scholarship at 18!!

First Week of Kindergarten

We have started homeschool! I never thought I would be teaching my own child at home, but for whatever reason, we started our adventure this week. He has done great!

Monday started with a celebratory breakfast of his choosing-chocolate chip pancakes.

We continued our first day by beginning an "All About Me" lapbook. For fun, I let him stay in his pj's for school, which was a hit! He enjoyed filling in information about is likes, his family and friends. He asked if he could make one for all of his friends. And, the day ended with my sweet boy saying, "Thank you Mommy for teaching me at homeshool." No prompting, he came up with that one on his own.

Here is a short video of our first day of SEEK, one of our homeschool co-ops. Jackson had a blast. He is taking two classes, one about Dr. Suess and the other about America.

Welcome to the 21st century Agar Family!

Ok, so it's official. We have a blog...we have arrived. (Although I still refuse to make my cell phone my primary mode of communication...I haven't come THAT far).

I have come to realize that the scrapbooks will never be completed and those journals I bought will never be filled with family memories as intended, but with the time I spend on the computer, maybe, just maybe, I can keep up a blog. I desperately want to remember every detail of our boy's lives and pass on these collections of memories at some point. Hopefully with the help of technology, that will happen. And along the way, I can share our daily discoveries with anyone interested in coming along.
